We started July with a bike ride to Agios Petros and Nikolis and back through the olive groves. Unfortunately I fell off my bike on the last bend coming down for Nikolis. The only damage was a bang to my left arm inflicted by the handle bar which later developed into a massive bruise. We spoke to Caroline later, she was at the airport hotel in Hk ready to fly to the UK with Ashley and Minnie. Mel wingfoiled in the afternoon but there wasn’t much wind so he didn’t manage to complete his lesson with Max.
On Thursday 3rd July we did a bike ride to Sivros, Kerasia waterfalls and the monastry road with Helen. I fell off my bike again and landed on a rock, hurting my back. We had a frappe at Verani and saw Ian Gillis there. It was windy in the afternoon so Mel wingfoiled.
My back was still hurting for the next few days so I rested Friday and Saturday and then we moved to the Cosmos Hotel on Sunday 6th. We went to Club Vass for a frappe on the Friday and saw Nick there but he was due to leave on the Sunday.
On Monday 7th July we went back to the apartments to get the bikes and then we had a short ride round the olive groves followed by a frappe at 4 Winds. Mel went to get the drone footage from Max and then went out in the afternoon and managed to complete his first gype. We did another bike ride on the Tuesday to Agios Petros and met Jill and Harvey there. Mel wingfoiled in the afternoon but not really enough wind. We met Helen and Stephen later and went for a meal with them to Almi in Pondi.
On Wednesday I went to the apartments to put some washing in and then went to Yoga with Alex. The session really helped my back so I was very pleased I had gone. After collecting the washing I met Mel at The Bar for a frappe. There was no wind today so Mel booked a table at The Plane Tree and we had a very nice meal there in the evening.
We went for a bike ride on Thursday 10th with Helen up the monastery road, right towards Fterno and then down to Amousa Bay. We had a swim there followed by a frappe which was all lovely but it was so busy. Too many cars trying to park and on the road. We went back from Kontarena towards Agio Fili beach and that road was busy too!It was a very windy day as a result of storms out at sea on the west coast. Mel managed to wing foil but it was a challenging day on the water.
