We left home about 10am and drove to Pickering via the M56, M6, M60 and M62. It was very busy all the way until we got on the A64 after York. We arrived in Pickering about 2pm, it was market day and there were lots of stalls set up on the main street. We had a cup of teanand some giant pork rolls in a very nice cafe on the same street. We went to find Bay Tree Cottage after that and managed to park directly outside. We unloaded and settled into the cottage which had everything we needed for a short stay.
