We finished packing in the morning and then went to the Panaderia for a coffee and a sandwich for lunch. After lunch we loaded up the car and left the apartment just before 2pm. We drove to the airport stopping for fuel on the way. We dropped the car off in the Autoreisen car park, dropped the key off and then checked in. We were able to do this even though it was about 4.5 hours before the flight. We went through security to the gates and waited around for a while. We realised we still had to go through passport control so we did that quite easily and then sat by the gates for another couple of hours. Our flight was about 30 minutes late but eventually we were able to board. There were no spare seats this time so we had to put up with the cramped seats for 4.5 hours. We landed in Liverpool about 12.30., collected our suitcases and Mel’s board bag and walked to the ‘Meet and Greet’ area. We collected our car key, found the car, loaded up the luggage and set off for home. It was cold but no wind, rain or frost and there was very little traffic on the road. We arrived back in Llanarmon just after 2am, quickly unloaded the suitcases and went straight to bed!
