Day 1

The day starts dry! A bike route has been planned (using OS maps on my laptop), you never know how suitable my routes are until you try them but, fingers crossed, this one will work without us crossing any firing ranges or muddy fields.

With the ebikes (mostly) charged we set off, although it wasn’t bright blue skies and sunshine, it was alright (OK, I could have done with some leggings), and we enjoyed the ride. It’s much flatter than at home and we didn’t really need much assistance from the motors. As we approached the end, we both felt that we had a few more miles in us so headed further West towards Valley. A little town with various shops and other amenites and we enjoyed a very nice (and full) BLT and tea in Relish Cafe and Sandwich Bar (highly recommended, they also accept credit cards).

Back at base, I put the bikes on charge, ready to ride again if we decide to. We had completed almost 35k, a lot for us.
