About us

Lesley and I retired in 2011 so that we could pursue our hobbies and interests full time. We love to travel but we are also enthusiastic about playing out. For us, that usually means messing around in the snow, on the water or exploring dry land. This blog came about (finally) so that we could keep family and friends informed about what we are doing and where we are.

We are both members of South Cheshire Harriers and love to run and race and so we will also record some of those events.

  1. Hi

I have enjoyed your website – I was wondering how the auto-trail managed in snowy conditions. My husband would very much like to spend a season in the Alps and we are looking at auto-trail or a german make! Your experience is very welcome 🙂

    1. We have never had to use it in really snowy conditions. The beauty of Borg St Maurice is that it’s quite low with good roads that are kept clear. The campsite runs a minibus to the funicular or you can walk in 15 minutes. This is our third year skiing with the motorhome and I thoroughly recommend it. Let me know if you need any other information.

  2. Hi Lesley and Mel
Andy and I are on the 1 week southern Ionian flotilla next week. If we have a stop in Vass we will try and find you or if you see a flot enter the harbour come and find us!
Andy is then returning to the area on his bike from 8 June so expect to see him around after that.
    Barbara
P.S. What’s happened to the motorhome?
